The Creed of Ink

Tattoos are a permanent form of body modification used by many cultures across the globe. To them, they represent different beliefs, symbolism, or simple beauty, but more importantly, they are a form of healing. Whether it be mental, spiritual, or both, humans seek peace at some point in life and tattoos can provide that peace for them.

Tattoos tell a story, a moment in our fleeting time here, that gets forever embedded in our skin. Serving as a reminder of what you forever love, why you now live, or what you have overcome. We as modern artists take on the role of a tradition thousands of years in the making. A tradition of love, loss, approval, perseverance, and in its most basic form, art. The once etched markings of a pyramid wall, the calligraphy on papyrus, no longer secluded or obstructed, but on a living, breathing canvas.

As tattooists, we bear a responsibility to translate a person's idea into a simple adornment or a complex piece that helps pay respect to a living relative or even honor the fallen. Tattooing is an infinite form of personal expression, crucial to human behavior. We are here to translate that idea safely, with care, and with unwavering professionalism.

Creed of Ink isn't here to just create a culture of caring, expressive, and healing beings. We are here to unite them.

~As a trauma therapist and a person having experienced trauma, I know the importance of processing and overcoming trauma. The act of getting tattooed helps relieve the symptoms of trauma. And, the tattoos themselves are representations of empowerment over trauma. They remind me I am a survivor and not a victim.  Truly a healing experience

~Having suffered with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts for years from experiences as a police officer, getting custom tattoos that express my inner thoughts has helped bring me peace as The Creed of Ink artist brings the story to life with ink.
